Recycling your Print Cartridges
Toner Recycling
At United Laser, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint in as many ways as possible. In order to facilitate the proper disposal of empty toner cartridges, we offer an environmentally conscience, zero-landfill recycling program to our customers. Please reach out to your United Laser Customer Service Representative today to receive more information about either of our recycling programs!
Programs:
Label Program
Most of our cartridges ship with prepaid UPS return labels. Simply insert the used cartridge into the replacement cartridge’s box, seal it, and attach the pre-paid label.
Box Program
You can order a recycling box directly from your customer portal. Each box fits 6-10 cartridges depending on size. Once your box is full of empty cartridges, seal it, apply the prepaid label and give it to a UPS driver.
Pallet Program
For customers that have 500 or more cartridges to return at one time, we will schedule a pallet pickup. Our logistics team will provide all necessary documentation for the shipment.
How do recycled cartridges help reduce landfill waste?
Each discarded laser cartridge adds approximately 3.4 pounds of metal and plastic waste to our landfills – waste that will take as long as 1,000 years to decompose. It is estimated that 100 million laser printer cartridges and 400 million inkjet printer cartridges are produced each year. Recycling these 500 million cartridges will save an estimated four million cubic feet of landfill space.
